2020 Honorees

Suzanne Sinatra

Founder & CEO

“It was a test of my grit & fortitude, as well as my ability to really believe in myself.”

Tell us about where you work and what you do there.

I am the Founder & CEO of Private Packs, a personal wellness company that designs personal care products for intimate body parts.

My journey to entrepreneurship was a total accident, as I started my career in financial services. I then pivoted to personal wellness after an unfortunate Brazilian wax mishap, as well as lack of post-chemotherapy “down there” care solutions. Our first product is wearable and reusable hot and cold therapy pads for the vulva.

How would you describe yourself?

I have two missions in life. First, give women a little piece of heaven to comfort and calm their pain.

Secondly, I mentor new entrepreneurs because starting a business is hard enough. I try to provide guidance and support. Most recently, I became a mentor at the UNY NSF I-Corps program at Cornell University.

For fun, I love dancing!

What do you think has been your biggest professional success so far?

Building my business while fighting stage three breast cancer, and launching and surpassing our crowdfunding campaign goal. I didn’t think I was going to be able to pull it off because I didn’t know how to beat a disease or launch a business. But it was a test of my grit and fortitude, as well as my ability to really believe in myself.

Where do you find inspiration?

Church.
